supercardioid SE Microphones
STUDIO B uses SE Electronics brand microphones. These V7 Supercardioid mics, with their specialized aluminum voice coils, offer natural-sounding reproduction of your voice, while simultaneously giving it a crisp, open quality perfect for podcast dialogue. Their Supercardioid design also means less mic bleed and clearer, less muddied vocals.
professionally designed environment
STUDIO B is treated with a combination of custom-built large-form broadband absorption panels, 2-inch acoustic foam throughout, large-paneled small room diffusion panels, and resilient channeled walls to achieve a Sound Transmission Coefficient of 45 or better (STC45) and a noise floor below 12-dBA.
live podcast engineers
Recording at STUDIO B includes a live Podcast Engineer running the control room. Our Engineers will setup your session, set your levels, and ensure that the audio being captured is the best it can be. Our Podcast Engineers are also available to give you notes or provide feedback throughout the session should you request it.
less time and LESS HASSLE
One of the reasons editing your own podcast can be so labor-intensive is because you’re always in a battle against your recording environment. Reverb, strange noises, roommates or neighbors interrupting you, etc. Recording in STUDIO B guarantees that the only thing you’ll need to edit when you leave is the stuff you want to cut out. That makes it easier to be consistent and saves you a ton of time agonizing over your sound quality.
